Phillips Hairstyling Institute has been a leader in Cosmetology Education since 1981 when Mr. Phillips bought the school he graduated from 8 years earlier.
Nationally Accredited and Licensed by the NYS Dept. of Ed., the US Dept. of Ed., and approved for Veterans training; Phillips is an innovative and reliable school which has assembled a team of highly qualified instructors. Many of our instructors are our own graduates.
Traditions of Excellence
The Great New York State Fair:
Since 1990 Phillips Hairstyling Institute has been the only Cosmetology School chosen by SUNY College of Technology to represent Cosmetology Education for all of New York State.
A classroom is set up at the N.Y.S. Fair and students report there instead of their regular classroom. Each year over 2,000 fair goers get their hair cut, styled or hands manicured by our students. This gives our students great opportunities for hands-on experience while enjoying the excitement of the Great New York State Fair. Students are supplied with Free Admission Tickets and Parking Passes.
Guest Educators:
Phillips bring in a variety of Eductors from throughout the Beauty Industry every month. This exposes you to new products and techniques that are being used in the salon today.
